Ok, so sometimes momma likes to dress me up in these ridiculous corny-ass costumes for the holidays. I get it. As long as she keeps those treats coming my way, I”ll pose for corgi selfies forever!
Costume #1
This Halloween, I was ‘Mythical Mochi’, which is a combo unicorn/pegasis getup that momma bought online at Barkshop. The wings were tolerable, but the dang horn was too heavy for my head and it kept falling off. I was so ready to tear that thing up!
My costume debut happened at Aardvark (my local daycare) where they had a fun Halloween party package that included some yummy treats, toys and photos. When I arrived, the daycare staff totally knew I was not feeling the photo shoot and I really just wanted to play. At least they got a good few shots for momma, who thought I looked very Uni-Corgilicoius …whatever that means. Maybe because I was unicorn or just a unique corgi. Whatever the case, Momma can get really goofy when it comes to Halloween. But that’s ok, she’s a total kid at heart.
For pops
ON a side note, I’d like to give a shout out to my pops who had a pretty traumatic October this year. He decided to cut some wood using his table saw. Yes…I’m sure you know where I’m going from here.
Unfortunately, he accidentally cut the tip of his middle finger in half from the blade. Momma panicked and quickly drove him to Kaiser in Vallejo. The good news is that theymanaged to sew his finger back together. The bad news is that his finger joints and flexibility will not be the same. Fast forward to today, Nov. 21, and he is still healing slowly. Meanwhile, he is totally fine and dealing with the injury. Work on the house has been on hold for the time being. But check out our sexy Master bathroom, its definitely work in progress and we just had the glass door installed.
Costume #2
Christmas time is near and momma decided to dig up last year’s Mrs. Santa outfit. Oh gawd!! I know its a bit early for that, but there was a charity event last weekend called, “Pet Photos with Santa”. It was a chance to get a holiday photo with Santa while all the proceeds go to help the animals at the Humane Society of the North Bay. We agreed to attend because it was local and for a very good cause.
To my surprise, I was also featured in the Vallejo-Times Herald. Pretty stoked! Momma knew there was a reporter present, but didn’t realize my photo would be part of the article. I also have to say it was an honor to be included in the article as much as supporting animals in need. Shout out to everyone that made this possible:
• Liza Nicole Szucs (Smooch the Pooch Pet Photography)
• Happy Tails Thrift Shop
• Humane Society of North Bay
• Katy St. Clair of the Vallejo Times – Check out my article
• All the wonderful pets that came to raise money and show support!!
In conclusion, its been quite a year! Lots of good times and some challenging. Until then, Happy Thanksgiving to all!! #corgilove
